The program prioritizes waiting list applications by students, staff and faculty of UCSB. If space remains the Centers welcome unaffiliated families from the community. Within these categories siblings of currently enrolled children are given priority and all applications are sorted by their priority date. The program maintains approximately half student families and half staff/faculty families. There are several variables that can affect when a space becomes available for you child, including the age of your child, the schedule requested and the amount of withdrawals from the programs. If you need care by a specific date you may want to consider enrolling earlier than needed or exploring enrollment opportunities at other child care facilities. A list of licensed family child care providers can be found at the Santa Barbara Family Child Care Association.  You may also want to contact the Children's Resource & Referral Program at 805 963-6631 or visit their website.

Our program offers a tiered tuition schedule for UCSB student, UCSB staff/faculty and community families. Financial assistance opportunities are available for income eligible families.

Once a classroom placement is available for your child you will be asked to complete the enrollment packet.

The Enrollment Coordinator can be reached at squinly@ucsb.edu to answers any questions you may have. Tours are not currently available due to COVID-19 policies.
