About

I first joined the UCSB Children’s Center in 2004 as a teaching assistant and have since grown into the roles of teacher, lead teacher, and now Preschool Program Coordinator. My years in the classroom gave me deep respect for the many ways children learn and grow, and they continue to guide how I support teachers and families today. I especially value mentoring educators and building systems that allow staff to thrive, knowing that strong teaching directly shapes children’s experiences.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Education from Antioch University and continue to expand my learning in psychology, leadership, management, business, and brain science. This blend of study and hands-on practice strengthens my ability to guide curriculum, create supportive environments, and approach challenges with both empathy and strategy. As a parent of two graduates of the Children’s Center, I value this program both personally and professionally and am committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging for families. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family and our two cats, as well as being outdoors, staying active, and traveling.
