ECCES serves the University in many ways. The center provides quality child care and education for a wide age range of children whose parents study, teach, or work at the University. As more parents with young children become students, faculty or staff, the need for high quality campus child care will continue to grow.
ECCES employs approximately 150 undergraduate students each quarter who gain valuable work experience and knowledge in education and child development. We support UCSB students through opportunities in undergraduate and graduate research, course projects and observation assignments, and volunteer positions.
