California Department of Social Services (CDSS)

This program offers families access to high quality Infant/Toddler care by paying most, if not all, of the tuition costs. Each parent or guardian counted in the family size must have a "qualifying need" for services such as employment, employment search, student status, or a combination of needs. Each family must also qualify according to the income ceilings for the current year. 

Complete the Tuition Assistance Request Form below if you would like to be considered and your child is under the age of 3 years. The CDSS Child Care and Development Application packet will be emailed to you if the Tuition Request you submit meets all of the basic guidelines. Important: The CDSS application process is very detail oriented; allow up to 4 weeks for final approval of services. Families pay full tuition costs for child care up until the time of certification of services.
